In its inaugural year, Lake Erie Arts & Film Festival in Sandusky, Ohio received over 140 submissions from 21 different countries and far exceeded their first year goals.
The festival takes place September 17 – 20. Keepers of the Water is scheduled to be screened on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Calvary Temple at 4:30 pm.
LEAFF provides a platform to educate and promote aspiring independent filmmakers, artists, and musicians pursuing artistic careers, while offering a stage for classic and emerging films along with art and music of the Great Lakes.
This years festival opening night will feature a 25th Anniversary screening of “Welcome Home Roxy Carmichael” filmed on location in Sandusky. The screenwriter Karen Leigh Hopkins will be in attendance to introduce the film. There will be local music and art to accompany the kick off opening night party
